Who we are
We are Martin and Ruth Hughes.
We were both born and raised in the area.
Finding ourselves made redundant, we decided to make our love and experience with horses and donkeys our source of Income.
Initially Martin, already a saddler, started his own saddlery business which he named mrhsaddler. He is very skilled at making most leather goods, saddle fitting, all tack repairs and is also able to make driving harness.

It wasn't long before our passion for Carriage Driving provided us with an opportunity to expand mrhsaddler business. With a cob and two donkeys, we set up Pemperow Carriages. Our numbers of Carriages - and Donkeys - increased, so we set up Pemperow Donkey Hire in it's own right. We are now able to offer Carriages for most occasions and Martin can give basic Driving Tuition to start you off safely on your own driving adventures
